Purpose: Local anaesthetics are safer, cheaper, they save time for the family and the hospital.  Many children are scared of being awake during an operation in case it is painful, they have no idea what will happen or what it will be like.  This film shows the procedure and normalises the process and make it less scary.

Outcome: The film helps children having a simple operation in the hospital to make an informed decision about whether to have a local or general anaesthetic.
