ForMed Films and Julia’s House Children’s Hospices are working together to show how valuable hospice care is for families.  We’re making a short animated film and a series of social media clips that will feature drawings, sounds of the hospice and voices of people who are supported by Julia’s House as well as the wider staff team. The project will be made by and from the perspective of children and families, and will reach out to the wider public.

 

How to Get Involved

Does your family have support at the hospice or at home? Do you make friends, play music, or have someone come to visit you? Do you attend the sibling events or parent socials? We’d love to know about how Julia’s House helps you!

 

Send Drawings

Our film will be made from your drawings! We’d like to fill it with people and places that show what Julia’s House is like, and how hospice care helps. 

 

We’d love artists of all levels to draw pictures of:

• your favourite place in the hospice

• an activity you enjoy at Julia's House

• your family, friend or favourite team member

• something else you love about the hospice

 

Share a Story

Write a postcard to share your stories.  You could tell us about something you enjoy doing, something that has helped you, or something your family appreciates about your care.

 

Send your drawings and stories to us by the 30th September.

 

You can:

●      Pop them in the special box at Julia’s House

●      Give them to one of the Julia’s House care team

●      Send them in the mail to Julia’s House, Bath Road, Devizes, Wiltshire SN10 2AT

●      Email them to fss@juliashouse.org

 

Be a Roving Reporter

If you’re a sibling aged 10+, you can apply to join our team of Roving Reporters. You’ll take part in an online workshop, then gather sounds and voices for the film.  We’ll give you a Reporter Pack with everything you need, and will help you along the way. Speak to your Sibling Worker or contact fss@juliashouse.org.
